Q102.9FM

Q102.9FM based in Derry City, County Londonderry, the gateway to the North West. The Radio Station commenced broadcasting in October 1993, establishing itself as the North West's Number One Independent Commercial Radio Station.

This music driven, 24 hour full service station, is female driven in its audience profile, playing 80's, 90's and today's best music mix.

Professional, local, regional and national news bulletins are delivered on the hour with extended editions at key times.

Q102 also enjoys a huge Letterkenny and County Donegal following.
It has a potential 250,000 + catchment area.


Q97.2FM

Q97.2FM play classic and contemporary hits, combined with a number of key special interest shows catering to a wide audience from eighteen to Fifty Five plus.

The Station went on the air in January 2000, the station is based in Coleraine and broadcasts to the Causeway Coast and further beyond, catering for an audience in excess of 100,000. The University of Ulster, Coleraine Campus and an estimated two million visitors to the causeway coast region adds to the vibrancy of this region.

Q97.2FM with its sister radio stations within the Northern Media Group offer extensive, professional, local and national news bulletins hourly.
Coleraine town, Portrsuh, Portstewart, Ballymoney and Maghera serve as the main population centres nestled amongst the many villages along the coast.


Q101.2FM

Q101 west was established in March 2002 and within months of its inception it captured the hearts and minds of West Tyrone, South Derry and South East Donegal.

Omagh, Enniskillen, Strabane and its many surrounding villages are at the heart of the Q101 franchise with the station enjoying strong commercial and listenership support in neighbouring areas such as Cavan, Monaghan and Ballyshannon.

Like Six FM in Mid Ulster, Q101 West is passionate about local news and current affairs and proudly supports the strong sporting traditions of this region.

The stations music policy is concentrated on easy listening and today's best music.

Q101.2 fm has a potential catchment area of 250,000.


Seven FM

Seven FM went on-air in November 2005 broadcasting to the north-east of Northern Ireland covering Ballymena, Antrim, Ballymoney and the surrounding areas.

At the core of the service is a commitment to local programming, whether it is in news, sport, traffic, weather or special interest features.
The wider catchment area covers a population of 250,000 people and the programming of Seven FM caters for this diversity- rural or urban; home maker or high tech worker.

The contemporary music combines classic hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s with special interest music, including country and gospel. Professional local, regional and national news bulletins are delivered on the hour with extended programmes providing further debate on key issues and events.

Sport is also a key area for Seven FM with extensive coverage of the major sports like soccer, rugby, GAA and motor sport, as well as minority sports like cycling, athletics and cricket. Live commentary of Ballymena United and Ballymena Rugby club home matches are a regular feature.

The strong management team includes local business people and sport personalities who have been crucial in integrating Seven FM into the daily lives of listeners in the north-east.

Six FM

The Northern Media Group purchased Mid FM in March 2006 .. Mid had already established itself in the Cookstown, Dungannon and Armagh areas.

The station was later re-branded as Six FM, mid-Ulster's local radio station.
The ethos of the station compliments its Northern Media Groups sister stations providing a professional, quality sound and a distinct local identity.

The music, special features, news and sport is all tailored to the population of mid-Ulster. That population is in the region of 150,000 with a wider catchment area of 250,000.

It broadcasts to a mix of urban and rural areas with large towns and cities including Dungannon, Magherafelt, Cookstown, Maghera and areas of influence in Omagh and Armagh City.

The programming is aimed at all age groups within this area.
Quality local, regional and national news is very important to the station.
As is sports coverage. News and match reports from local GAA teams feature heavily as does the progress of Dungannon Swifts and Dungannon rugby club.

Under the Northern Media Group, Six FM has been able to build on its standing and reputation in the mid-Ulster area.

Five FM

The Northern Media Group won the licence for the new local radio station in the Newry and Mourne area in June 2006. Five FM will be the sixth Northern Media Group station to go on-air in Northern Ireland in 12 months.

As well as the Northern Media Group, the shareholders behind Five FM includes businessman and director of Newry City Partnership Tom Kelly MBE; Newry estate agent and businessman David Reid Hanna MBE; solicitor and Newry and Mourne cultural stalwart Margaret ElliotCBE; football legend Pat Jennings; and businessman and Armagh Gaelic Football manager Joe Kernan.

In addition to the obvious business and media experience of the shareholders and management team, there is also considerable knowledge of - and contacts in - the Newry and Mourne area.

Five FM's distinctive programming will establish the station across the whole Newry and Mourne area and to all age groups. Local news, sport and information is a priority - from reports of Newry and Mourne council - to coverage of Newry City football club - to local traffic reports - to extensive multi sports coverage.

There is also a focus south of the border.

And, of course, popular music that everyone loves is the mainstay of the station, augmented by specialist music.
