Seven FM launched in November 2005 broadcasting to the north-east of Northern Ireland covering Ballymena, Antrim, Ballymoney and the surrounding areas.
At the core of the service is a commitment to local programming, whether it is in news, sport, traffic, weather or special interest features.
The catchment area covers a varied population and the programming of Seven FM caters for this diversity- rural or urban; home maker or high tech worker.
The contemporary music combines classic hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s with special interest music, including country and gospel. Professional local, regional and national news bulletins are delivered on the hour with extended programmes providing further debate on key issues and events.
Sport is also a key area for Seven FM with extensive coverage of the major sports like soccer, rugby, GAA and motor sport, as well as minority sports like cycling, athletics and cricket. Live commentary of Ballymena United and Ballymena Rugby club home matches are a regular feature.
The strong management team includes local business people and sport personalities who have been crucial in integrating Seven FM into the daily lives of listeners in the north-east.
Seven FM's first published RAJAR figures were published on 31st January 2008.
